Going sledging in winter is FUN 🃏
Sledging 🛷 is a white exercise for everyone and a great opportunity to expand the range of leisure activities available to tourists: a sledge, a little body tension and some driving feeling – that’s all you need for this sport, as long as a well prepared and a safe toboggan run is available.
The cardiorespiratory health success of sledging is limited, but neither an extraordinarily good state of fitness nor special technical skills are required. Tobogganing is nevertheless healthy, as it benefits from the mountain air, which is low in fine dust and allergens, as well as from the increased ion concentration and UV radiation.
Braking maneuvers challenge the leg muscles and the ability to react is also trained.
The relatively high risk of injury requires that protective measures must be taken imperatively (helmet and ski goggles) and that the speed is adapted to the conditions.
